This Privacy Policy explains how SiteWrite ("SiteWrite," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website content planning platform at sitewrite.com (the "Service").
SiteWrite is operated by 90 Degree Design LLC, 1053 E Whitaker Mill Rd, Suite 115, Raleigh, NC 27604.
By using SiteWrite, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
1. Who this policy covers
SiteWrite serves two kinds of people, and we collect different information depending on which one you are:
- Agency users: the designers, developers, and agencies who create accounts, build content plans, and manage projects in SiteWrite.
- Clients: the people an agency user invites to review or provide input on a project through a public intake form or review link. Clients don't create accounts or log in.
2. Information we collect
From agency users
- Account information: name, email address, and password (or Google account info if you sign up with Google)
- Billing information: handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We don't store full card numbers ourselves. We receive limited billing details like plan status and payment history
- Branding information: your agency name and logo, if you set up white-label branding
- Content you create: project names, URLs, prompts, generated content plans, sitemaps, edits, comments, and version history
- Usage data: how you interact with the Service, pages visited, and actions taken, collected automatically through standard analytics
From clients (via intake and review forms)
- Responses submitted through public intake forms (business details, brand voice preferences, website goals, and similar project information)
- Comments and feedback submitted through review pages
- We do not require clients to create an account, and we do not collect passwords or login credentials from clients
Automatically collected
- IP address, browser type, device information, and general log data
- Cookies or similar technologies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences (see Section 6)
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Generate AI-assisted content plans and sitemaps based on the information you or your clients provide
- Enable the client review and comment workflow
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Apply your white-label branding to client-facing pages
- Send account-related emails (confirmations, password resets, billing notices)
- Monitor usage to keep the Service reliable, secure, and within fair-use limits
- Improve and develop new features
We do not sell your information or your clients' information.
4. How information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- AI processing: content you submit (prompts, project details, intake responses) is processed by third-party AI providers to generate content plans and suggestions. This data is used to produce your results and is not used by SiteWrite to train models beyond what's needed to operate the Service.
- Infrastructure providers: we use third-party services for hosting, authentication, and database storage, and for transactional email delivery.
- Payment processing: Stripe handles billing and subscription payments. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment details.
- Legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SiteWrite, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: if SiteWrite is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not share client-submitted intake or review data with anyone outside the agency who invited them, except as described above.
5. Data retention
- Agency account data and project content are retained for as long as your account is active.
- "Cut" content is stashed rather than deleted, and remains part of your project history until you permanently remove it.
- Finished content plans remain accessible even if your subscription lapses.
- Client intake and review submissions are retained as part of the project they relate to and are controlled by the agency who owns that project.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8).
6. Cookies
SiteWrite uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in
- Remember display preferences like dark mode
- Understand how the Service is used, in aggregate
You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the Service works.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted connections and access controls through our infrastructure providers. No system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or from the Service.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Export your data
Agency users can manage most account information directly in Settings. To request deletion of your account or data, or to exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@sitewrite.com.
If you're a client who submitted information through an intake or review form, please contact the agency that invited you. They control that project's data. If you're unable to reach them, contact us directly.
9. Children's privacy
SiteWrite is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
10. International users
SiteWrite is operated from the United States. If you're accessing the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify agency users by email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
